    • In 1872, at age 13, she traveled alone from Sweden to Salt Lake as a convert of the LDS church. She obtained employment and 4 years later sent for her parents. On 3 occasions she trav eled to Europe to obtain genealogical information. Her last trip was in 1936 at age 77. In 1898 she was appointed to the General Board of the YWMIA where she worked for 25 years. She was the YW president of the 20th ward before that. She was one of the first tour guides on Temple Square.
