(I believe this is Johan Petter, who went by John, because he appears to be younger.) Bill Hall was born to Essie but was raised by Essie's mother, Josephine Hall Henson.

- IGI batch H000020 call #884047-884050
1900 Census Tooele Utah lists: Joseph, Josephina, Esmeralda, Halbert, Minerva, Josephina.
Josephine moved to Salt Lake with her mother after completing the 8th grade in Tooele. Her mom arranged for her to spend a year learning the art of cosmetology and nails at Hotel Utah, a very fancy hotel. Very talented and beautiful, she had the opportunity to work on the nails of many successful businessmen who encouraged her to come back east with them. She met her future husband at the Odeon, a local dance hall. Her mother-in-law was against their marriage because she was a Lutheran with little education and their backgrounds were so different. Josephine decided to join the LDS church when her middle daughter, LeJeune, chose to be married in the SL temple.
Obit: Says she was a member of the DUP, African Violet Club, and Sigma Nu and Chi Omega Mothers Club.
