She was baptized by John A. Bevan who was a cousin to Annie E. Lee. And

"The Transcript Bulletin" friday April 13 1956. Willena Gowans Dies Tuesday;
Funeral Here Fri. Mrs. Willena Henson Gowans, former Tooele resident, died
Tuesday morning in a Salt Lake hospital at the age of 83 years, of a heart
ailment. She was born April 20 1872 in Tooele, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Joseph Henson and was married to Andrew G. Gowans. They moved to Salt Lake
City in 1933 where she has since made her home. At the time of her death, she
resided at 1141 Seventh East street. She was a member of the Princeton L.D.S.
ward and a past officer of camp 2 Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Surviving are 3
sons and a daughter. Charles and Lloyd Gowans of Tooele; Merle Gowans of
American Fork; and Willena Gowans Salt Lake City. Also Surviving are twelve
grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held
Friday at 1:00 P.M. in the Tate Mortuary. Friends may call at the mortuary
thursday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. and Friday prior to funeral time.
Burial will be in the Tooele City Cemetery.
